In his first visit with B’nai B’rith Israel today (May 21) , President of B’nai B’rith International Robert Spitzer met with 80 members of B’nai B’rith Israel’s National Council and then held a working meeting with Emanuel Cohen, President of BB Israel, Elise Shazar, Director of International Relations, and David Eyal, Chairman of Ahuzat B’nai B’rith, BB Israel’s senior living residence. Addressing the Council, he provided an overview of the organization’s activities, including Israel advocacy and fighting antisemitism, and shared his goals for the term ahead, citing the critical importance of bringing younger members into the organization. He also commended B’nai B’rith Israel for “being on the front lines” after October 7 and providing emergency assistance through dozens of projects, adding. “We are proud of you.”
