In Israel, one out of 7 babies goes to bed hungry. With the aim of feeding more hungry mouths, members of the Holit Lodge of B’nai B’rith are assisting the non-profit organization Latet Mekol Halev (translates as “Giving with All your Heart) to transport food from their warehouses to the homes of needy families.
Latet Mekol Halev provides food to 2,100 babies a month and it hopes to expand its activities and outreach and feed 20,000 babies a month by the end of 2026.
Kochava Goldhamer, who coordinates the project on behalf of B’nei B’rith Israel: “ We are helping to ensure a brighter and healthier future for these infants. When we deliver the food, parents welcome us with a warm smile of gratitude , and this gives us a great sense of satisfaction.”
